What's going on in class?
This week we are looking at patterns in maths. We have been busy making repeating patterns in a variety of different ways.
We used paint and sponges to create a colourful repeating pattern.
We also used musical instruments to create repeating patterns.
Then we looked at how we could make repeating patterns using our voices and hands, the children came up with lots of ideas of their own such as 'clap, clap, sshhh!' or 'clap, click, clap, click'.
We also used a range of natural, seasonal items to make patterns with such as leaves, sticks and stones.
In phonics we have been using the sounds that we have learnt so far to write CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words.
