History
Our history curriculum ignites a curiosity that enables pupils to gain knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world. We want pupils to understand the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups. We also explore the history of our own local area. Our pupils gain the skills required to be a historian; they become equipped to ask perceptive questions, think critically, identify sources of evidence, understand how we know about events from the past, and appreciate how events from the past shape our world today. We achieve this by enhancing the curriculum with a variety of day trips and in-school experiences.
