Crawford Cup
The Albrighton and District Civic Society annual competition invites local schools to take part in their Schools Award Competition. This year, the subject was St. Mary’s Church. It could be drawing / painting, prose/ poetry or photography format of any aspect of the church.
We were delighted and extremely proud to hear over the summer holidays that WE WON!!
Mr Woodman, chairman of The Albrighton and District Civic Society, said “The standard of all entries this year was very high and the judging task was difficult. The unanimous decision of the judges was that St Mary's School should be awarded the Crawford Cup this year."
This piece of art work was also chosen to feature on the front cover of the new Shropshire Sacre Syllabus. Created by Year Two pupils, it reflects how they feel when going to church.
